Nothing leaves your phone.

SmokeLess is designed so that we cannot see your data, because we never receive it. This policy describes what the app stores on your device and the permissions it may ask for.

Data we collect

None. SmokeLess has no user accounts, no backend server, no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no advertising SDK. The app makes no network requests of its own.

Data stored on your device

Your bedtime schedule, plan length, start date and preferences (reminder level, reminder sound, currency display). These are saved in the app's local storage on your iPhone.
Pack price data is bundled with the app and read locally to estimate savings. Your region is read from device settings and is not transmitted anywhere.

Deleting the app deletes this data. If you use iCloud device backup, Apple may include the app's local data in your encrypted backup under Apple's own privacy terms.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, SmokeLess requests read-only access to sleep analysis in order to draw your recent nights on the dashboard. The app never writes to Health, never shares Health data with anyone, and never uses it for advertising or marketing. Health data is read when the dashboard is shown and is not copied to any other store. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app under Sharing > Apps.

Notifications and Live Activities

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Live Activities are started on-device. No push notification service or server is involved.

Links to third parties

The app and this website link to PubMed, PubMed Central, DOI.org and Apple's developer documentation. Those sites have their own privacy policies. This website loads fonts from Google Fonts; Google's privacy policy applies to that request.

Children

SmokeLess is intended for adults who smoke. It is not directed at children and, since it collects no data, it collects none from children.

Changes

If a future version adds an optional feature that involves a network service, this policy will be updated before that version ships and the app will ask for consent before using it.
